Ferndale Boarding Kennels & Cattery is a small family business situated on the Greengraves Road, between Newtownards and Dundonald. We are within easy reach of Belfast, Bangor and further afield. We initially provided boarding and day care for dogs, however we have added a beautiful, purpose built Cattery and so we are now able to cater for cats too!

We are surrounded by large open fields where your dog will go for long walks on a daily basis. All dogs are walked on their own or with their family 4 times a day, and whilst the dogs are out enjoying their walk, the cats will be curled up, toasty and warm in their spacious, brand new pod!

Our kennels are custom built and constructed to the highest standard. They are all centrally heated to keep your dog cosy and warm. All dogs are housed in their own individual accommodation with inside sleeping and feeding area and outside covered area. Our kennels are more than adequate for up to 2 large dogs and we will happily accommodate all dogs from puppies all the way up to those in their more 'senior' years!

Our brand new cat accommodation consists of 12 individual pods. The pods are centrally heated to keep your cat curled up and cosy. Our pods consist of washable PVC panelling, so you can be assured of the utmost cleanliness. All cats will be housed in their own individual pod, although our pods are more than large enough to cater for two, just in case that's what you need! Our only restriction for cats is that we do not accept males who haven't been neutered.

To ensure your dog has all the comfort it requires, we provide sleeping platforms and tray beds, but you may bring your dog's own washable bed and covers if you wish. A few toys to make your dog feel more at home are also most welcome.

Likewise, to ensure your cat has the most comfortable stay with us, please feel free to bring their own bed and/or bedding. If they enjoy playing with toys, then by all means bring some along!

We charge a daily rate per dog / cat and you supply their food. Discounted rates are available for dogs / cats sharing. Please ensure that your dog or cat has up to date vaccinations and flea treatment prior to boarding with us. A certificate will be requested upon booking.
